House Fairies

Hobgoblins, brownies, bogles and such, this section is dedicated to house fairies.

Generally friendly and good, they have a strong connection with the family in whose house they live.

Most of you will be well aware of the Brownie. A shabby little man of around three foot in height, he is often said to dress in brown.

Friendly to the household they adopt, Brownies help out with chores during the night and generally keep order and protect the house and those within.

A Brownie will accept no payment and indeed will be offended by wage or gift in return for his labours. A bowl of cream, conveniently placed where the Brownie can chance upon it is all that he expects, in fact, so easily offended are these creatures, that should clothes be offered to a Brownie, he will cease work and never be seen again.
House fairies and in particular Brownies are very easily insulted. A well cared for Brownie will tend your house and families needs with pleasure. Upset or anger him and he may become his Boggart self, terrorising the family and causing mayhem in the household. This is a fairy you do NOT wish to see. A Boggart is seldom removed from a home.
